How often do I need to be recertified?

DOT requires training at least once every three years. Employees are required to re-trained if their job position changes, or a change in regulation that affects their position.

DOT Non Bulk Hazmat Training

Price per trainee: $199.95

The requirements of the DOT regulations are relative to US domestic hazardous materials transportation. Hazardous materials training must be completed within 90 days of a person being assigned to preform a job function that affects transportation. Refresher training is required every three years for all hazmat personnel.

This online training is appropriate for personnel who directly handle or prepare non bulk hazardous materials shipments, and meets the general awareness, function specific, and security awareness requirements of the 49CFR, Part 172, Subpart H. The course is designed to provide students a clearer understanding of the 49CFR manual and how to apply the regulations..

IATA Dangerous Goods Training

Price per trainee: $199.95

The requirements of the ICAO/IATA regulations are relative to the transportation of dangerous goods by air. Air shipments are subject to different regulations than shipments by ground or vessel. Persons planning to ship dangerous goods by air must first be trained and certified in the ICAO/IATA regulations before attempting to ship by air.

This online training meets the training requirements for personnel who are involved in the preparation of dangerous goods air shipments. The course is designed to provide the student a clearer understanding of how to use the IATA manual and apply the regulations. Failure to comply with the ICAO/IATA regulations can result in fines, delayed and rejected shipments, injury and more.

IMDG – Shipping Dangerous Goods Training

The requirements of the IMDG regulations are relative to dangerous goods transportation by vessel. This course is REQUIRED for all employees who directly handle or affect a dangerous good for transport by vessel shipments. This MUST be completed every 3 years.

Department of Transportation (DOT) requires all employees who affect transportation to be instructed in General Awareness and Security Awareness training, and to be certified by their employer to perform their duties. IMDG & ADR Lithium Battery Training

This training presents the provisions for preparing lithium cells and batteries for transport according to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code. The provisions for the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road ( ADR) closely mirror the IMDG Code for transporting lithium batteries and is also provided in this training. Infectious Substance and Dry Ice Training

Shipping Infectious Substances and Dry Ice can vary greatly from shipping other types of hazardous materials. DOT requires all hazmat employees be trained in general awareness, security awareness, and function-specific training (49 CFR 172.704).
